A complete acoustics simulation solution for the full frequency spectrum

Today, the fast pace of any product design requires the right decisions to be taken as early as possible in the product development cycle. Acoustic design considerations are not an exception. LMS Virtual.Lab Acoustics simulates noise inside closed cavities, such as vehicles, cabins, and duct systems. Likewise, from early design phase, engineers can analyze external noise radiation or exterior scattered noise, such as vehicle pass-by-noise or external aircraft noise. Noise transmission through panels including vehicle door panels, aircraft fuselage panels represents a major application as well.

Efficient and accurate BEM & FEM solvers
The latest acoustic solvers address even more complex and vast models, ever faster. This includes BEM models up to millions of nodes, solved on PCs or high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and FEM models ranging up to 50 million of elements. The new frequency-adaptive FEMAO solver significantly improves calculation speeds for acoustic simulation for low to high frequency applications like pass-by noise and encapsulation design.

First-class technology
In order to efficiently and effectively address noise problems, it is important to have the right type and combination of technology to deliver the expected level of accuracy for the job at hand, depending on the frequency range or problem complexity. The acoustic simulation solutions cover Acoustic Transfer Vector (ATV), Automatically Matched Layer (AML), aero-acoustics, ray-acoustics, random vibro-acoustics as well as uncoupled to fully coupled acoustic problems. The Statistical Energy Analsysis (SEA) capabilities embedded into the SEA+ product allow to extend the frequency range to high frequencies. A unique capability converts automatically FEM models into SEA models, making it very convenient to analyse the full frequency spectrum.
