3DPlusMe Converts "Halo 5: Guardians" Fans Into Spartans Using 3D Printing Technology

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, April 9, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  Attendees to the recent Game Developer Conference in San Francisco had a chance to visit the 3DPlusMe "retailtainment" scanning station to 3D print themselves into their favorite Red or Blue Spartan from the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" video game.

Visitors to the 3DPlusMe scanning station were among the first to engage with licensed products for the new "Halo 5: Guardians" video game releasing this fall.  This unique entertainment experience allowed fans to choose their fireteam, sit for a high-resolution facial scan, then see themselves as their own unique "Halo" Spartan.  Fans previewed and purchased a personalized, 3D-printed model of themselves as their "Halo 5: Guardians" Spartan soldier to be shipped to their home.

These unique figures were available in Red and Blue team colors and for both male and female. Additional character offerings from Marvel were also available in the 3DPlusMe booth.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is the next video game release in the award-winning collection of properties within the "Halo" franchise that has grossed over $4 billion in worldwide sales to date. "Halo 5: Guardians" is an Xbox One exclusive and will release in fall of 2015.
