Siemens Appoints Rose Marie Glazer as General Counsel for the Americas

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — Siemens today announced that Rose Marie Glazer has been appointed as General Counsel for Siemens in the Americas. In addition, she will serve as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Siemens Corporation in the U.S.

Glazer joined Siemens in 2004 and served most recently as General Counsel for Siemens PLM Software based in Plano, Texas, responsible for the global legal affairs of the company as well as oversight of all corporate governance matters. Glazer also held the position of General Counsel for Siemens Mesoamerica, overseeing the legal department for the company in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Prior to her role as General Counsel, she was the associate general counsel and compliance officer at Siemens PLM.

Prior to Siemens, Glazer was Vice President and General Counsel at Telvista, Inc., an international contact center company in Dallas, Texas. Glazer previously held in-house counsel positions at Allied Riser Communications and American Airlines and was an attorney with the Jones Day law firm in Dallas.

She earned her J.D., bachelor's degree in Business Administration and bachelor's degree in Spanish from Southern Methodist University and has been recognized for her work within the industry as a champion for diversity, including being named one of the most important Hispanics in Technology for 2011 by Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine and as the recipient of the 2011 Dallas Hispanic Bar Association Corporate Counsel Diversity Award.  She is a member of the Texas Bar Association and the American Corporate Counsel Association.

Glazer will be based in the Siemens U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C.
