Community Beta Test Results Identify ‘7-on-7’ Advantage Framework for Mid-Market;
600+ Software Users Say SYSPRO’s New Mobile, Infrastructure, Capabilities Best-In-Class
BOSTON — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 26, 2013 — SYSPRO, a provider of best-of-breed, award-winning enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for on-premise and cloud-based utilization, announced today results of a SYSPRO community beta test performed with more than 600 companies from SYSPRO’s database of 15,000 licensed companies. The results were evaluated during Q3, 2013. SYSPRO released the results to 28 of the world’s leading ERP technology analysts this week in Boston at the JRocket Marketing Grape Escape ® 2013.
The product of more than two years of upgrades, refinements and embedding of new technologies, SYSPRO ERP Release 7 advances the company to best in class positioning for solutions aimed at the small- and mid-sized manufacturing and distribution market. With an aggressive push into optimized and platform independent mobile technologies, enhanced personalization and ultra-fast speed for large transaction volumes, SYSPRO 7.0 places smaller manufacturers on a technologically-level playing field against much bigger competitors.
In the third quarter of 2012, SYSPRO released the solution to the community of 600 companies with the goal of both making final refinements and measuring which of the new capabilities/features would be most demanded given current economic conditions. Consistently, seven categories of advances were cited by the Community Release group, which SYSPRO U.S. is calling “7 on 7,” for seven top named advantages on release 7 :
1. New personalized customization and role-based optimization;
2. New advanced functionality (like rapid sales order entry);
3. New device agnostic mobile capabilities;
4. New vertical industry features for SYSPRO’s now core 6 micro-vertical markets (food, medical devices, electronics, machinery/equipment, automotive and energy);
5. New data integration and toolsets that make the company “big data” ready;
6. New faster transactional speeds, installation/upgrade speeds and up-market scalability;
7. New and more powerful reporting solutions that speed processing and provide rich embedding capabilities from multiple sources.
SYSPRO also polled the Release 7.0 users to determine which of this preferred list matched the most demanding needs of the current marketplace. For small- and mid-sized manufacturers, hands on practicality and efficiency improvements were the areas of high demand.
“It’s interesting to note that as the automotive and energy industries are making a comeback, we are seeing the mid-market manufacturing and distribution community tap right into ERP solution areas that will deliver the most profitability to them the fastest,” said Brian Stein, CEO of SYSPRO U.S.A. “Optimizing sales orders, configuring their solutions for fastest customer responsiveness and stretching people/materials resources to gain the most return are parts of an attitude that we call ‘Simply Smarter’ and have used that as one of our key messages.”
SYSPRO management also noted that the best “liked” features were SYSPRO’s advanced platform-agnostic mobile capabilities, industry-specific layouts and workflow navigation that can be personalized at the user level. The company has long been recognized by industry analysts for its “unique to the user” customization capabilities.
“SYSPRO introduced the concept of UI-centric Power Tailoring several years before other ERP companies put this kind of direct, accessible power into workers’ hands,” said Cindy Jutras, President of Mint Jutras, an independent research and advisory firm that specializes in analyzing the business impact of enterprise applications. “It’s interesting to see that the SYSPRO is continuing to invest in accelerating its capabilities in this regard. This is a potential competitive differentiator for SYSPRO, as manufacturers continue to look to gain more results from their current resources. When technology solutions are more extensively personalized to individual working behaviors/needs, it’s inevitable that more work gets done.”
