Announcing NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070: Little Brother to the 1080; More Info at B&H Photo

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 10, 2016) - B&H Photo would like to share the announcement of the GeForce GTX1070 from NVIDIA. Following the release of the 1080, the 1070 has arrived to fill the price per performance role of NVIDIA graphics cards. While it's not as beefy as its big brother, it's not to be underestimated, because it beats nearly every card on the market (aside from the 1080 of course). The 1070 is also based on the Pascal architecture and delivers more performance per watt. It has 1920 CUDA cores and can run at clock speeds of more than 1500 MHz, while only consuming 150 watts of power.

Moreover, this card is aimed for VR performance and is NVIDIA GeForce VR Ready, encompassing VR Works technology for an enhanced VR experience. Unlike the 1080, which uses GDDR5X memory, the 1070 is built with 8GB of GDDR5 memory that's commonly found in current-generation graphics cards. Even with GDDR5, the 1070 has ample bandwidth to drive your games at the maximum settings, so you can enjoy them at their best. If the GTX 970 was the best bang-for-your-buck card of the Maxwell series, the 1070 is here to take over. For eager, budget-conscious users who need performance, this is it; however, patience does pay off since custom revisions are coming soon.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition Graphics Card is available for purchase under MSI, EVGA, ASUS, and ZOTAC labels.
