FIRST Robotics team will demonstrate their award-winning skills and lead discussion of STEM education.

August 6, 2018 -- The future of manufacturing is in the hands and minds of today’s students, and FORCAM will celebrate that future at two events in Chicago in the fall of 2018. FORCAM will host the Starship Robotics team from Eleanor Roosevelt High School of Eastvale, at both Hannover Messe USA, part of IMTS 2018 from Sept. 10-15 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, and at its own Smart Factory World Symposium on Oct. 11 at the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII) on Chicago’s Goose Island.

“FORCAM long has been a supporter of the First ROBOTICS program, which provides hands -on training and personal instruction to high school students. This introduction into robotics will help us identify and develop the next generation of manufacturing leaders,” said Manfred Heisen, Chief Executive Officer at FORCAM USA. “We are honored to have the Roosevelt team with us in Chicago for these events.”

The Starship Robotics team is one of hundreds of teams around the country that participate in the FIRST Robotics program. FIRST Robotics provides high school students with mentoring in the fields of mechanical engineering, electronics, software development and robotics. The program also provides an opportunity to apply for more than $80 million in college scholarships at a time when manufacturing is looking to attract and retain the next generation of manufacturing workers.

At Hannover Messe USA – IMTS 2018, FORCAM will be in booth 121803 as part of the Digital Factory pavilion on Level 2 of the East Hall at McCormick Place. The students will demonstrate the outcome of that mentoring effort and will create an interactive experience with booth attendees.

The Starship Robotics team, named ROBATS, will make a similar presentation at the 4th Smart Factory World Symposium at DMDII, the world-class, first-of-its-kind manufacturing research hub in Chicago. As a unique public-private partnership, DMDII has the capabilities, innovative spirit, and collaborative expertise to transform American manufacturing by ushering in the digital revolution—a venue perfect for highlighting the work of these high school students and their mentors.

The Symposium will include guided tours of the DMDII’s 25,000 square feet Shop Floor to explore the variety of manufacturing innovations on display, including how FORCAM’s technology is integrated into the DMDII Shop Floor displays.

FORCAM delivers the leading IIoT platform for Manufacturing 4.0

With FORCAM, companies make Manufacturing 4.0 quick and easy: The internationally awarded IIoT platform, FORCAM FORCE ™, delivers the performance of a traditional MES along with the added value of a futuristic IIoT solution, which ensures a smooth transition to a productive smart factory environment.

Smart Factory Made Easy. Ready-configured solutions.

The technology of FORCAM FORCE™ offers access to pre-configured best-practice solutions that allow for a fast and successful start into Manufacturing 4.0. One of the solutions, the SMART FACTORY STARTER KIT, enables companies to start their Smart Factory with a select number of machines and start collecting real time data within hours - the starting signal for smart production.

Significant Productivity Improvements.

For the first three months, FORCAM guarantees customers productivity gains of at least 5 percent. In the long run, shop floor management supported by FORCAM technology can increase productivity by more than 30 percent. In addition, profitability increases significantly: CFOs confirm a Return-On-Investment (ROI) with FORCAM in less than twelve months.

Shop Floor Management on a Single Platform.

The FORCAM FORCE™ BRIDGE is so sophisticated that it collects data from machines of different manufacturers and year of manufacture - and makes it available to third-party systems via OpenAPI. Enterprise Planning (ERP / SAP), PLM, CAQ, Tool Management, Predictive Maintenance or Artificial Intelligence (AI) now become an integral part of a holistic solution to improve Operational Excellence.

From Manager to Machine Operator. Comparing Data in Real Time.

Big Data Becomes Smart Dataâ The FORCAM FORCE™ BRIDGE prepares machine data user-friendly in current and historical reports and displays succinct information and metrics in dashboards and online visualizations.

FORCAM stands for rapid Return-On-Investment (ROI), an increase of Return-On-Capital-Employed (ROCE), and a competitive surge in overall cost savings and reduction of waste. We Deliver Results in Productivity.
