VELO3D’s SupportFree metal additive capabilities complement Knust-Godwin’s core competency of precision machining, enabling the company to manufacture even-more-complicated geometries
CAMPBELL, Calif., January 8, 2020 – Leading precision-tool and component manufacturer Knust-Godwin has announced the purchase of their first VELO3D Sapphire metal additive manufacturing (AM) system.
Known for its capabilities to consistently produce high-quality parts with low-angle geometries without support structures, the VELO3D solution consists of Flow™ advanced pre-print software, Sapphire printer, and Assure™ quality management software. The VELO3D solution will join Knust-Godwin’s existing fleet of seven metal AM machines in Katy, Texas. Knust-Godwin will take delivery of the Sapphire printer in first quarter of 2020 and has already secured customer orders to print end-use parts for the oil service industry.
