The IPS HEXTRAN heat-transfer simulator is the core heat transfer technology for the IPS common modeling environment. It enables users to evaluate complex design, operation and retrofit situations. The infrastructure of the HEXTRAN 9.2 software has been dramatically improved and includes an enhanced error-logging module and an upgraded object store system. These infrastructure advancements will allow customers to continue to use HEXTRAN software's targeting, synthesis, design, rating and optimization technologies, along with the comprehensive thermodynamic and physical property data banks that have become industry standards. Additionally, new enhancements that allow stream data to be passed directly from the company's PRO/II simulation software simplify the design process and reduce the likelihood of errors.
The new integration with Microsoft Vista Enterprise & Business operating systems and support for Microsoft Office 2007 means that IPS clients can now integrate simulation and modeling functionality and data more easily with other enterprise applications.
