Mike Harrison Joins CD-adapco as Manager of CAD/PLM-Embedded Sales, North America

New York, July 27, 2006. CD-adapco is pleased to announce that Mike Harrison has joined the company as Manager, CAD/PLM-embedded Solution Sales. Mr. Harrison brings to CD-adapco a 30-year background and solid track record of accomplishments in customer service, sales, sales management, and executive management in information technology, including the past seven years of directly applicable sales management experience in leading the growth of the up-front Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) business in North America for NIKA. Prior to that, he spent over 12 years in key executive and sales management positions with Division, Kubota, and Digital Equipment Corp.

"Mike brings to CD-adapco a unique combination of up-front CFD sales know-how together with a solid broader practical understanding of professional sales methods, " said Steve MacDonald, Founder and President of CD-adapco. "His reputation as a trusted representative of the CAD/PLM-embedded up-front CFD solution approach within numerous North American corporations is evidence of our increased dedication to meeting the strategic needs for up-front CFD and related CAE solutions within the broader CAD/PLM context."

“I’m excited about joining CD-adapco because I see them as the leading, if not the only, CFD company able to offer a truly scalable enterprise solution to customers big and small,” said Mr. Harrison. “I think it is critical to address the needs of the design engineers through the needs of the analysts with one contiguous product line providing the ability to preserve investment in analysis and provide an audit trail throughout the product design/validation process.”

CD-adapco is the leading global provider of full-spectrum engineering simulation solutions for fluid flow, heat transfer and stress, including CFD software, CAD-embedded CFD options, CAE consulting services and training. Through STAR-CD, STAR-CCM+ and the STAR-CAD Series, CD-adapco delivers the most comprehensive set of easy-to-use CFD-centric CAE solutions on the market. www.cd-adapco.com

This ability of a vendor to offer a full solution across the entire spectrum from CAD/PLM-embedded working environments through to the most advanced, leading-edge CAE simulation applications is essential to innovation, as CAE moves more and more into the "driver's seat" of the PLM enterprise vehicle.
