Phoenix, AZ: July 16, 2012 - Open Design Alliance (ODA) today announced the
release of version 3.6 of Teigha, its software development platform for
engineering applications. It is also the first version that combines support
for .dgn and .dwg files into a single SDK.
Version 3.6 Enhancements
Version 3.6 incorporates performance enhancements and a large number of bug
fixes donated to ODA by its members, as well as improvements made by the ODA
development team.
The update includes the following enhancements:
* Multi-threaded support for .dwg file loading
* Beta multi-threaded rendering support
ODA Chief Technology Officer Neil Peterson added, "3.6 is the first release
of Teigha that supports multi-threading, allowing Teigha-based applications
to take advantage of multi-core processors. The new multi-threaded support
has increased loading and rendering performance by a factor of 2 on average
using a 4-core processor, with better results for larger drawings.
Teigha version 3.6 is available now at <
