The conference will explore a wide variety of issues related to CAD data exchange, which continues to impede productivity and time-to-market for many manufacturers. Design, engineering and manufacturing professionals will share experiences in CAD interoperability at the conference. Leading experts will interact with show attendees to discuss best practices and solutions for solving data exchange problems.
Bean will chair a series of conference sessions focused on supply chain interoperability to be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 from 3:15 - 5:00 p.m. and will discuss the increasing need to take advantage of imported geometry. The session is called, "Repurposing Geometry Speeds Times to Market." Bean will also participate in a cross-industry vendor panel to address plans and approaches for improving CAD interoperability.
"As competitive pressures heighten and supply chain resources get squeezed, designers and engineers can't afford roadblocks generated by their CAD systems," said Bean. "Much work has been done to give supply chain professionals the tools needed to quickly access and edit essential CAD data. These technology breakthroughs in the use of imported geometry are turning heads."
Also appearing at the conference from Kubotek USA will be Paul Stallings, vice president of development. He will discuss "Advances in Feature Discovery to Enhance Interoperability," on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 1:30 p.m.
